Axis Ready to Respond to Hurricane Irene

25 Aug 2011

The first major storm of the season, Irene, moves through Turks & Caicos as well Bahamas. As of 25th August Irene is a category 3 hurricane with a suggestion that it will develop into a 4 later today. The storm is moving through the Bahamas at 12 mph with sustained winds around 115 mph.

We have implemented our catastrophe plan and in addition to regional staff, Adjusters, Surveyors and Engineers throughout the group are on standby.

The catastrophe is being managed by personnel from our office in Miami with further coordination through London. Staff are preparing to be deployed to Bahamas and we will advise again once better landfall information is available.

In the meantime please contact any of the following with queries or requests for assistance.
